About ClubProcure - by Foodbuy

In 1994, Van G. Miller helped two aspiring businessmen and friends, D.Jay Ellis and Kent Dierks, launch a business called VGM Golf. The company focused on providing pro shops discounted purchasing opportunities with golf-related companies and extending them to golf and country clubs. For a nominal annual fee, a club could become a member of VGM. During these early years, participation from clubs around the country grew and D.Jay and Kent dug deeper into other areas to help country clubs and golf courses procure goods and services in a more cost-efficient manner.

VGM Golf became VGM Club in 2001 to reflect the addition of agronomy, clubhouse, and food & beverage programs for its clientele. With a more comprehensive value proposition, business grew even more. Soon over 4,000 courses and clubs, including city, yacht, fitness, and athletic clubs, were participating in the program. Then in 2019, Compass Group/Foodbuy USA, a global-leading contract foodservice company, acquired VGM Club.

The merger subsequently led to the emergence of the name ClubProcure—A Foodbuy Company. It also greatly expanded program offerings and purchasing power from ClubProcure to its clientele which now sits at over 5,000 courses and clubs. Along with substantial buying power, ClubProcure has invested heavily in industry-leading technologies that provide data and analysis to its clients looking for purchasing solutions.

Through all the growth, name changes, and advancements, ClubProcure’s core objective has stayed the same:

Be the most trusted service provider for the club industry.

Now and into the future, this objective is accomplished by the ClubProcure team combining our value-driven contract offerings & data insight with impactful experiences & personal relationships. We are excited to see what’s next for our company within the golf course & club industry.
